Be my Valentine?
Time is approaching for that day when all hope to be recognized by our own special love. Valentine's Day goes way back but we have made it into another materialistic holiday. I hate to say this but it is so true.
How many really go to the trouble of making a Valentine card anymore? No one I know.
We are used to running to the store to buy the perfect card for the one we love. Everything is there for us to choose the one that is exactly the message we are hoping for to give to our special person.
A box of candy?
A nice book that speaks of love? ("An Old Sweetheart of Mine" by
James Whitcomb Riley. Or something from Elizabeth Barrett Browning?
A special antique piece of jewelry that you had hinted about? (Shown here is a 1920's Czech piece and another Czech piece with it )
Perhaps a faux fur (1940's vintage) that would wear wonderfully with that 1950's white prom dress for a dinner out at your favorite little restaurant?
Or did you decide on a weekend or night away at a great B & B?
(This one is the Ant Street Inn in Brenham where we stay each time we go to the Roundtop Antique Fair twice a year.)
Whatever you and your sweetheart choose, and we in US have lots of options, I wish you each and all a Happy Valentine's Day.

Oh I make my family and friends cards every year since i have gotten into the card craze.
I tried making cards about 10 years ago before Tim Holtz and all the card people were popular.
Anyway I didn't much of any thing to work with and I made a close friend her first homemade card by Janice
She said she still has it what a good friend
I know it looks like something a pre school child would have made LOL
That bed & breakfast looks good to me However they don't allow dogs And Sissy has to go with me She's my Valentine
