We woke yesterday morning to a blanket of snow. My aunt said 3 inches. Not had that confirmed though. She is usually pretty accurate but since this is the first good snow we have had in years,
I hesitate to shout it from the rooftops just yet.
My husband and I stayed home all day in jammies and robes. That was really nice. We did not go to the store or open it at all. No one in their right mind would have been out shopping for antiques is my excuse.
Above is the ST Francis statue in our front yard. His basket is full of snow.
And also in the front is the cherub. He is having fun in the snow.
Pictures to follow are of the grandkids at their own homes playing in the snow :
LJ in this picture. He said hot when he touched the snow for the first time in his 18 months life.
And Jayleigh and Lane with expressions of happiness on their faces. Their first snow also.
From the den window: my herb garden just finished and planted in Sept. It is under all that but there is a layer of landscaping material. Hope it survives.
So maybe to you this is a lot of time spent on nothing, but let me tell you we do not often get snow here in East Texas so to us it is a big thing. A time out if you will.
Happy snow days to you.
Lois
